When I was teaching in Seattle, I saw that my advancing students loved chamber music and wanted a fun, challenging ensemble playing experience. Preferably, it would be on a weeknight, right in our neighborhood, avoiding fall/spring sports. The winter chamber intensive was my answer! Students formed groups, met for 10 weeks, then performed. For students 12 and up, this took the place of group class. Everyone had a great experience.

Now that I am in Bellingham, I am happy to be coaching chamber music again and welcome inquiries from anyone interested in forming a group. Please note that I don’t schedule work on weekends unless it’s a special event, so groups meet on weekdays. Time and rehearsal frequency depend on the group. Preparing for a performance, busking at the farmer’s market, doing a workshop in Seattle, or entering a competition is a great motivator. Summer is a great time to do a short chamber music intensive. Cost: $20/student for an hour coaching.
